The Doppler effect started out as a solo project by current singer Hussain. He posted some acoustic songs and started to get some good feedback. Later he added a drummer, a bassist, and two guitarists to complete a full line up for The Doppler Effect. Today The Doppler Effect consists of singers Hussain and John, guitarists Tom and Mike, bassist Rick, and drummer Eric.

With over 225,000 plays and 9,000 friends on Myspace, this band definitely has a solid fan base. They also have tons of experience when it comes to playing shows. They have shared the stage with such bands such as Mayday Parade, I Am The Avalanche, Settings, You Me And Everyone We Know, and Honor Bright.
